Financial Aid Office

Senior Checklist

Register to receive emails and messages from the financial aid office
Create a Student Resume. If you already have one, revise it. It must be detailed.
Apply to at least 5 colleges/universities July-December 1 goapplytexas.org www.commonapp.org www.coalitionforcollegeaccess.org
Visit with the registrars in the guidance office to send your transcript to each college/university that you have applied to.
Attend college presentations & meet with college reps (online or in person)
Register for the ACT and/or SAT. Test before December www.actstudent.org www.collegeboard.org
Send your test scores to each university you have applied to. (Through the websites above)
Attend the ECISD College Night in October 2021
Ask Teachers and/or Counselors for a letter of recommendation.
Visit the Financial Aid Office often & meet with Ms. G
Pick up monthly scholarship list in the financial aid office.
Complete a financial aid application October 1st - January 1st (FAFSA/TASFA)
Complete the financial aid verification process before January 15st (FAFSA/TASFA)
Turn in a copy of your Acceptance Letter to the financial aid office
Turn in a copy of your scholarship award letters to the financial aid office.
Finalize college housing plans by Spring Semester
Register for New Student Orientation
Submit your TSI Scores to the college/university that you will be attending www.accuplacer.org
Complete college readiness Senior Clearance with Mrs. G before graduation
