Edinburg CISD - Clear Backpack Policy
Starting 2025-2026 School Year
Mandatory for Middle & High Schools
- To support campus safety and streamline entry procedures, all students in middle and high schools are required to use clear backpacks during the 2025-2026 school year, including Brewster School 6th, 7th, and & 8th grades.
Policy does not apply to elementary schools.
Important notes:
- Clear plastic or vinyl backpacks (must be completely transparent- no colored, tinted or patterned designs).
- A small non-transparent pouch or clutch bag (up to 6'x9') is permitted for personal hygiene or medical items.
- School-issued athletics and fine arts bags are allowed but must be secured in the locker room or fine arts classroom upon arrival at school.
- Mesh backpacks are NOT allowed.
