Principal’s Message

My name is Jesús R. Mata, and I am excited to introduce myself as Principal of Johnny G. Economedes High School. It is an honor to be here at Johnny Economedes High School.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 24 years at the high school level. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to JEHS and work with you collaboratively to ensure your child's success. We will focus on character education initiatives, the use of data to drive instruction, and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous manner so that we can continue to increase all of the students' achievement.

I will be overseeing all school operations to create the best possible environment for all of our students, and want to assure you that Johnny G. Economedes High School is in good hands, and student academic success is my number one priority. This will continue to be a wonderful year for our students, and I am looking forward to working together as partners in education.

Once again, I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at JEHS meet their goals and have a successful 2022 - 2023 school year!
